The Lyons playwright will also direct his latest work.

Nicky Silver

A reading of Nicky Silver’s new play, The Einstein Letter, will be presented February 24 at London's The Other Palace.

Silver, last represented on Broadway with his comedy The Lyons, will also direct a cast that will feature Sam Hoare and Luke Baker. Additional casting will be announced.

In The Einstein Letter, a lonely old woman, lost in the past, languishes in a London bedsit. Her only connection is to the surly young man who delivers her meals, yet these two strangers forge a hilarious, touching, and ultimately brutal relationship.

Silver also penned This Day Forward, Pterodactyls, Raised in Captivity, The Food Chain, Beautiful Child, and The Agony and the Agony.

The reading is presented by Keith Merrill's new London theatre company, The Salon. Merrill's previous New York-based company, Noël & Company, offered multiple readings from 2012 through 2015, including two rarely-seen Noël Coward plays.
