Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed & Unbowed Will Get NYC Reading
Ingrid Griffith is starring in her own work about the pioneering Black politician.

Ingrid Griffith's Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed & Unbowed will get a reading at the DR2 Theatre Off-Broadway March 30, presented by Vineyard Theatre and Daryl Roth.
Griffith will star in the solo work.
The play follows the pioneering Black politician, the first Black woman to win a seat in Congress, and the first to run for President of the United States for a major political party. The work won the Outstanding Playwriting Award at the Hear Her Call Caribbean American Women's Playwriting Festival in 2020, and a 2023 Suzi Bass Award for Outstanding Production About Social Justice, for a production of the play at Out of Hand Theater in Atlanta, Georgia.
The performance will be open to the public, with tickets available at VineyardTheatre.org.
