Tony-nominated original Rent star Adam Pascal has joined the creative team of Our Little Secret: A True New Musical as director, and will be at the helm of two major productions in the coming months. The first is set to begin in October at Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Alberta. The second will be announced next week.
Producers will host an invite-only industry workshop in advance of the upcoming Canadian bow March 26 at New 42 Studios. Industry members interested in attending can click here.
The musical is written by and stars Noam Tomaschoff, drawing inspiration from his real-life journey discovering that his parents aren't who they claim to be, and that he's not an only child. The work played Montreal's Segal Centre last year, Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024, and Toronto Fringe Festival in 2023.
The work features music by Ryan Peters, created with Russell Citron. Sam Dallas of Envoy Theatricals is general managing. Further creative team members are to be announced.
“We can’t wait for more audiences to get to experience this incredible true story,” says creative producer Citron in a statement. “Noam, Russell, and I wrote our first musical in high school,” adds Peters. “We’ve always loved working together, but we never had anything worth writing about."
