The upcoming movie musical F**king Identical Twins has announced the casting of Broadway vets Nathan Lane (Angels in America) and Megan Mullally (It's Only A Play), along withBowen Yang (Saturday Night Live) and Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Created by comedians Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp, F**king Identical Twins is based on a two-man show that premiered at the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2014. It is teased to be a "subversive spin" on the romantic comedy The Parent Trap.
The musical tells the story of two businessmen who realize they're identical brothers and decide to switch places to bring their family back together.
The entertainment distributor A24 has greenlit the R-rated comedy, having previously produced and released the hit movies Lady Bird, Moonlight, and John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch. Jackson and Sharp will be starring in the movie as the lead twin brothers. They will also be writing the script and original songs, alongside composer Karl Saint Lucy.
F**king Identical Twins will be directed by Borat director Larry Charles, and Grammy winner Marius de Vries (Moulin Rouge!) will serve as the executive music producer.
