The 32nd Actor Awards, previously titled the SAG Awards, were held March 1, and a bevy of theatrical talent took home top honors.

Held by the Screen Actors Guild, the Actor Awards are the only major ceremony that honors actors via a jury of their peers. There is a strong correlation between this winning set and those who go on to receive Academy Awards, although the precedent has become less predictable in recent years.

In the film categories, Michael B. Jordan won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his dual-character performance in the musical horror film Sinners, Jessie Buckley won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for the Shakespeare-inspired film Hamnet, Sean Penn won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for One Battle After Another, and Amy Madigan won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Weapons.

Sinners took home top honors for the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category, which honors the entirety of a film's principal cast.

In the television categories, Keri Russell won Outstanding Female Actor in a Drama Series for The Diplomat, and Michelle Williams won Outstanding Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for Dying For Sex.
