Adam Seidel's Original Sound, which played a 2019 run Off-Broadway at Cherry Lane Theatre, has gotten a film adaptation, due to release in movie theatres April 24. Get a first look at the project, the screen directorial debut of Tony winner Gregory Jbara, in the gallery below.

The film is led by David Lambert (The Fosters) and Laura Marano (Austin and Ally), with the cast also including Eric Stoltz (Pulp Fiction), Ari Notartomaso (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies), and Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages).

The work centers on a young beat maker whose track gets stolen by a famous pop star, which leads to an unlikely peace-making collaboration between the two. Seidel has adapted the screenplay from his own play. Julie Crosby and David Youse are producing, with cinematography by Sarah Brandes, editing by Soojin Chung, production design by Sadra Tehrani, and music by Erik Blicker and Glenn Schloss.
