Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and Andrew Garfield have made cover spreads of this month's Vanity Fair, part of the publication's annual Hollywood issue. They share a feature along with six other personalities, including stage vets Nicole Kidman and Benedict Cumberbatch, all being spotlighted as "stars who are breaking boundaries, thrilling audiences, and inventing the movieland they want to live in."

Garfield is currently awaiting the results of the 94th Academy Awards following his portrayal of Jonathan Larson in the Netflix adaptation of tick, tick...Boom!, which landed him a Best Actor nomination. The Vanity Fair shoot features the actor donning a bright pink suit and dangling over a city skyline.

In the 28th annual Hollywood Issue, Garfield expressed his love for theatre. He said, "Theater saved my life. To be honest, I was an athlete, and I was a clown. I was an idiot. But until I was 16, I didn’t know theatre was a thing. And then, yeah, I fell hard and fast, and there was no going back."

In addition to his screen roles starring in The Amazing Spider-Man, The Social Network, and The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Garfield has made a name for himself on the Broadway stage. He is best known for his Tony Award-winning performance as Prior Walter in Tony Kushner's Angels in America and his Broadway debut as Biff Loman in the 2012 revival of Death of a Salesman.

Rodriguez, recently announced as a 2022 GLAAD Media Award honoree, was also featured in the issue. The 31-year-old performer rose to notoriety following her portrayal of Angel in the 2011 Off-Broadway production of Rent, alongside Annaleigh Ashford and Adam Chanler-Berat. Rodriguez went on to lead the FX's drama series Pose and play opposite George Salazar in Pasadena Playhouse's Little Shop of Horrors

She appeared in the Vanity Fair portfolio wearing a matching, two-piece brown ensemble encrusted with diamonds and rhinestones. In the final images, Rodriguez is seen posing on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with her arm wrapped around a tiger.

Also featured in the issue, helmed by artists Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, are Hollywood actors Nicole Kidman, Idris Elba, Kristen Stewart, Simu Liu, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Penélope Cruz.
