Wicked Tony winner Idina Menzel has joined the cast of Netflix's new comedy You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah! Co-produced and starring Adam Sandler, the film is based on the young adult novel of the same name.
Menzel and Sandler previously starred opposite each other in the critically lauded film Uncut Gems. Based on Fiona Rosenbloom's hit novel of the same name, the film follows a young girl as her bat mitzvah plans unravel, threatening to ruin her special day.
You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah! will also star Sarah Sherman, Sunny Sandler, Sadie Sandler, Luis Guzmán, Ido Mosseri, Samantha Lorraine, Dylan Hoffman, Dean Scott Vazquez, Miya Cech, Ivory Baker, Dylan Dash, Millie Thorpe, Zaara Kuttemperoor, and Jackie Sandler. The film will be directed by Sammi Cohen.
Sandler will produce the comedy with Tim Herlihy for his production company Happy Madison, alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton for Alloy Entertainment. Barry Bernardi, Judit Maull, and Kevin Grady will executive produce.

Filmed at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the concert transforms the legendary venue into the Emerald City, complete with a 37-piece live orchestra.
