They demand to be heard. PBS has released the first clip from its forthcoming broadcast of Shaina Taub's Suffs. See the show's Broadway cast, led by Hannah Cruz, perform "The March" in the video above.

Taub's musical will air May 8 at 9 PM ET as part of PBS' Great Performances series; check local listings. It will also be available to stream on PBS.org and the PBS app.

Suffs, which ran on Broadway March 26, 2024–January 5, 2025, follows the real-life women who pushed for passage of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote. Taub won two Tonys for Suffs, for Best Book and Best Score, making her the first woman to win in both categories by herself. The filmed version was captured by PBS with the show's original Broadway cast in 2024.

PBS is currently in the 20th season of Great Performances at the Met, where it's broadcasting shows from the opera house, including The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & ClayLa Sonnambula, and more.
