The Muny has revealed principal casting for their upcoming summer production of Legally Blonde The Musical, set to run at the St. Louis venue July 25–July 31. The production will be directed by Maggie Burrows, choreographed by William Carlos Angulo, and music directed by Lon Hoyt.
Kyla Stone (Anastasia) will lead the company as Elle Woods, performing alongside Fergie L. Philippe (Hamilton) as Emmett Forrest, Patti Murin (Frozen) as Paulette, Sean Allan Krill (Jagged Little Pill) as Professor Callahan, Hayley Podschun (Hello, Dolly!) as Brooke Wyndham, Dan Tracy (Waitress) as Warner Huntington III, Kelsey Anne Brown (Freedom Rider) as Margot, Khailah Johnson (4400) as Pilar, Gabi Campo (Beetlejuice) as Serena, and Kerri George (Oscar at the Crown) as Enid. The production has been cast by The Telsey Office.
Also planned for the theatre's upcoming season are Chicago, running June 13–19; Camelot, running June 22–28; Mary Poppins, running July 5–13; Sweeney Todd, running July 16–22; The Color Purple, running August 3–9; and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, running August 12–18.
Legally Blonde choreographer Angulo's steps to the musical's "Legally Blonde (Remix)" for the theatre's season-wide dance audition became a viral dance challenge on TikTok earlier this year.
