The cast and creative team are set for the George Street Playhouse's upcoming production of Deborah Brevoort's My Lord, What a Night, which will play the New Jersey venue April 28-May 17 with an official opening May 1.
Directed by Sheldon Epps (Play On!), the cast will feature Rashidra Scott (Sunset Blvd., Company) as Marian Anderson, Anthony Cochrane (The Good Fight) as Albert Einstein, Mitch Greenberg (November 4) as Albert Flexner, and Gayle Samuels (Chiaroscuro) as Mary Church Terrell.
Based on true events, the play is set in 1937 Princeton when world-famous contralto Marian Anderson is turned away from a hotel because of her race, and she finds an unexpected host in Albert Einstein. What begins as a simple act of hospitality grows into a unique friendship between two brilliant minds.
The upcoming production will also feature scenic design by Megan Rahm, costume design by Karen Perry, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and Katy Atwell, sound design by John Gromada, projection design by John Narun, and casting by McCorkle Casting.
The production stage manager is Samantha Flint.
