Tyler Hanes Will Be Elvis Presley in Heartbreak Hotel for the Marriott Theatre
Deidre Goodwin will direct the bio-musical at the Illinois venue.

Tyler Hanes (whose Broadway credits include A Chorus Line, On the Town, Hairspray, Sweet Charity, and The Boy From Oz) will star as Elvis Presley in the Marriott Theatre production of Heartbreak Hotel in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
Directed and choreographed by Deidre Goodwin with music direction by Jeff Award winner Ryan T. Nelson, the Elvis bio-musical will begin previews April 8 prior to an official opening April 15. Performances will continue through May 31.
Joining Hanes will be Charles Adler Bischoff as Kid Elvis, Colton Sims as Teen Elvis, Rob Lindley as Colonel Tom Parker, Elizabeth Telford as Gladys Presley, and Amanda Walker as Priscilla Presley, alongside Ivan Bracy Jr., Anna Louise Bramlett, Melanie Brezill, Jake Busse, Trevor Lindley Craft, Jackson Evans, Karl Hamilton, Naiqui Macabroad, Leah Morrow, Alexandra Palkovic, Hannah Remian, Zac Richey, Lucas Thompson, Elaine Watson, and Frederick Webb, Jr., with understudies Bridget Adams-King, Joey Chelius, Lacey Jack, Jake Mickel, Eli Vander Griend, and Ethan Alexander Williams.
With a book by Sean Cercone and David Abbinanti, Heartbreak Hotel features over 40 Elvis hits, including “That’s All Right,” “All Shook Up,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Burning Love,” “Good Rockin’ Tonight,” “Hound Dog,” “Love Me Tender,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Are You Lonesome,” and “Blue Suede Shoes.”
The artistic team also includes associate choreographer Shanna VanDerwerker, scenic designer Collette Pollard, costume designer Theresa Ham, media designer Anthony Churchill, lighting designer Jesse Klug, sound designer Michael Daly, props designer Leo Bassow, wig, hair, and makeup designer Miguel A. Armstrong, dialect coach Eva Breneman, dramaturg Deborah Blumenthal, stage manager Courtney Honaker, and assistant stage manager Richard Strimer.
