A new musical from songwriting duo Carner and Gregor will make a Broadway-aimed bow at Phoenix Theatre Company next year. It will play the Arizona company's Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre January 28-February 21, 2027.

Featuring lyrics by Sam Carner and music by Derek Gregor, the new musical follows rival fairies and gnomes as they meddle in the love lives of four young royals at Hampton Court, setting off a whirlwind of romance, rivalry, and magical mischief. Described as “A Midsummer Night’s Dream meets Mean Girls,” the "whimsical pop musical" explores love, identity, and discovering who you truly are.

Carner and Gregor have contributed a number of contemporary hits to the musical theatre canon, including "Sing, But Don't Tell," "So Far From Pennsylvania," "New York, Do You Care?" and many more from their musicals Island Song and Techies!, with Unlock'd their most acclaimed following a 2013 Off-Broadway run via Prospect Theatre Company. They are the recipients of the 2004 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater, the Kleban Prize, and the John Wallowitch Award.

The Phoenix Theatre Company's 107th season will also offer a handful of hit musicals—Suffs, Spamalot, Sweeney Todd, Legally Blonde, Kimberly Akimboand more—as well as another Broadway-aimed production, the world premiere of Stage Mother, a new musical dbeing eveloped with three-time Tony Award–winning producer Kevin McCollum (Rent, Avenue Q, In the Heights), running May 19-June 20, 2027.
