It's Tony Nominee NaTasha Yvette Williams' Turn to Star in Gypsy

Williams received a Tony nomination in 2023 for her performance as Sweet Sue in Some Like It Hot.

Tony nominee NaTasha Yvette Williams will play Rose in Gypsy at Wilmington, North Carolina's Opera House Theatre Company this summer.

Running June 18-28, the production will mark Williams' return to OHTC following her performance as Linda Loman in the company’s 2024 production of Death of a Salesman.

Williams received a Tony nomination in 2023 for her performance as Sweet Sue in Some Like It Hot. Elsewhere on Broadway, she has performed in Wicked, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Chicago, Waitress, The Color Purple, and The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. In addition to her performance career, Williams is a founding member of Black Theatre United.

The OHTC production will be directed by Suellen Yates and choreographed by Bradley Barefoot. Additional casting and creative team members will be revealed at a later date.
