Westport Country Playhouse’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita began performances February 7. A production from resident conservatory Broadway Method Academy, the staging stars Samantha Pauly as Eva Peron, Kyle Barisich as Juan Peron, Yurel Echezarreta as Che, and Julian Alvarez as Magaldi.

Go Inside Opening Night of Evita at the Westport Country Playhouse

Directed by Connor Deane with choreography by Eric Santagata and music direction by J. Scott Handley, performances of Evita continue through February 10. The creative team also features production stage manager Rebecca McBee, lighting designer Weston G. Wetzel, set designer Ryan Howell, sound designer Jason Allamon, costume designer Heidi Hanson, and projection designer Bryce Cutler. BMA Artistic Director Julie Kavanagh serves as associate director-choreographer.
