Keith Bunin's new work The Coast Starlight will play Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater later this year. Previews will begin February 16 in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater where it will open March 13.
Starring in the work will be Mia Barron (The Wolves), Camila Canó-Flaviá (Network), Rhys Coiro (Dinner at Eight), Jon Norman Schneider (Catch as Catch Can), Tony nominee Michelle Wilson (Sweat), and Will Harrison (One Arm) in his New York theatre debut. The work follows a young man with knowledge of a troublesome secret as he boards the Coast Starlight. On the train headed for Seattle from Los Angeles, he is helped by his fellow travelers who are all facing the aftermath of their own choices.
Tyne Rafaeli (Selling Kabul) will direct the production featuring sets by Arnulfo Maldonado, costumes by Ásta Bennie Hostetter, lighting by Lap Chi Chu, original music and sound by Daniel Kluger, and projections by 59 Productions. Melissa Chácon will be stage manager.
The Coast Starlight was first produced by La Jolla Playhouse, and developed at New York Stage and Film and Ojai Playwrights Conference.
