April 10, 2026 By Andrew Gans
The world premiere of Ben Andron's Broken Snow will begin performances Off-Broadway at Theatre71 April 19 prior to an official opening April 30. Directed by Colin Hanlon (Kowalski, Falsettos), the limited engagement is currently scheduled through May 24.
The cast will feature Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Tom Cavanagh (The Flash, Ed) Tony Danza (Taxi, Who's the Boss?, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Producers), and Michael Longfellow (Saturday Night Live). Standbys are Bob Ari and Max Roll. Casting is by Robin Carus.
The psychological drama, set inside an abandoned snow-bound house, follows two strangers—James, a volatile drifter, and Steven, a tightly controlled officer—who discover they share a dark familial connection. As they dig through the remnants of their father’s secret life, long-buried trauma resurfaces.
The upcoming production will also have set design by Scott Adam Davis, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Bill Toles, costume design by Lisa Zinni, fight coordination by Rod Kinter, and prop design by Caitlyn Murphy.
The production stage manager is Mitch Strong, and Aaron Grant Theatrical is the general manager.
Andron is a playwright and entertainment advertising creative whose theatre credits include White’s Lies, Brave New World: The Musical, Facing the Music, and Bar Mitzvah in Birmingham. In film/television, his work includes Hunachi and Friends and Heroes.
Broadway Engine, Daveed Ben-Arie, and Willette Klausner, in association with NewYorkRep, present the world premiere.
