Irish Repertory Theatre will present a concert performance of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's My Fair Lady as their 2026 gala, set for June 8 at The Town Hall in NYC. Charlotte Moore and Ciarán O'Reilly will co-direct.
The evening will feature performances from Shereen Ahmed (who played the title role in the My Fair Lady national tour), Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), Melissa Errico (Dear Liar), Tony Award nominee John Douglas Thompson (Endgame), Gary Troy (The Dead, 1904), and Nik Walker (Spamalot). A special virtual introduction from original My Fair Lady star Julie Andrews will begin the performance, with additional casting to be announced.
John Bell will music direct the concert, which will feature a full orchestra and chorus.
Premiering on Broadway in 1956, My Fair Lady is Lerner and Loewe's musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, centering on an English phonetician who bets a friend that he can tutor a Cockney flower seller into passing as a life-long member of London's high society. Andrews and Rex Harrison starred in the original Broadway and West End productions, which made Andrews into a household name and the musical into one of the most popular in the canon. Its score introduced such favorites as "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly," "On the Street Where You Live," "Show Me," "Get Me to the Church on Time," and "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face."
Concert-only tickets are available alongside Patron Packages that include a post-show dinner at Bryant Park Grill. Irish Rep members can currently get tickets at IrishRep.org, with general sales due to begin April 17.
