Origin Theatre Company's 18th annual Irish Theatre Festival will be held June 16-July 5, honoring Irish playwright Enda Walsh. The Tony Award-winning playwright penned Once, Disco Pigs, and Lazarus.

The festival will highlight Walsh's groundbreaking body of work and legacy, staging four readings of his works, as well as a concert of songs from Walsh’s plays and films and a movie marathon of Walsh-scripted films. A gala benefit honoring Walsh will also be held June 29 at the American Irish Historical Society.

The festival’s lineup of one-night-only staged readings will include Disco Pigs June 26, Medicine June 18, The Same June 22, and Walsh’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Twits, co-produced with Poor Mouth Theatre Company, June 27.

The all-day “Enda Walsh Movie Marathon” will take place at the New York Irish Center in Queens June 20.

Origin will also produce a mainstage revival of the company's first produced play, Misterman. The Off-Broadway production will be directed by Origin's artistic director Labhaoise Magee.
