Starring six-time Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess (Schmigadoon!) and Tony winner Jane Krakowski (Schmigadoon!, Nine), Center of the YOUniverse has announced new dates for its three-nights-only run at Off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre. Presented by Audible Theater, the new show will now run July 27-29 rather than the previously announced June 15-17.
Filled with music and laughter, Center of the YOUniverse will star Burgess and Krakowski attempting to upstage each other and steal the spotlight in a double-booking. Through a blend of song and storytelling, they’ll stop at nothing until they realize their talents can be put to better use uniting the world. The two will clash and collaborate with dueling vocals as they sing both pop and theatrical duets.
Tony winner Christopher Gattelli (Schmigadoon!, Newsies) is set to direct, joined on the creative team by scenic designer Riw Rakkulchon, lighting designer Jeff Croiter, sound designer Brian Ronan, and music director Dan Garmon.
Technical supervision for the production is by Hudson Theatrical Associates with general management by Baseline Theatrical’s Andy Jones & Jonathan Whitton.
Center of the YOUniverse will be recorded live and released on Audible at a later date. Tickets to the performances will be available exclusively to Audible members beginning April 11. Tickets will subsequently open to the general public April 13 at noon.
