Heartbreak Hotel opened March 24 at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre, and the reviews are rolling in!

The work, written by Karin McCracken and created by EBKM, makes its U.S. premiere with the Off-Broadway bow, which follows earlier runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London's Soho Theatre. New Zealand natives McCracken and Simon Leary star in the two-hander, exploring the mental anguish of breakups and what's needed to get a fresh start. Eleanor Bishop directs.

The work comes to New York via Occasional Drawl, which is presenting Heartbreak Hotel in a season with James Hindman's The Exhibitionist, the latter set to perform May 19-June 28. Heartbreak Hotel continues through April 19.

Jeff Hiller serves as executive producer, with Occasional Drawl's Brian Letchworth and Christa Scott-Reed serving as lead producers.
