Audible Theater's spring season will feature comedy shows Chris Gethard's A Father & The Sun and Michael Cruz Kayne's Sorry For Your Loss, both playing Off-Broadway at Minetta Lane Theatre. A Father & The Sun will have three performances March 31-April 2 while Sorry For Your Loss will begin previews April 28 and open May 8.
Gethard (Career Suicide, The Office) delves into fatherhood, generational differences, and toxic masculinity in A Father & The Sun.
In Sorry For Your Loss, Kayne (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) explores grief after he tweeted on the 10th anniversary of a loss—and received over 140,000 responses. The show's limited engagement will be directed by Josh Sharp. The creative team will also feature scenic designer Brett Banakis, costume designer Rodrigo Muñoz, lighting designer Cha See, sound designer Connor Wang, and projection designer Aaron Rhyne. Garrett Kerr will serve as production stage manager with technical supervision by Hudson Theatrical Associates and general management by Baseline Theatrical’s Andy Jones and Jonathan Whitton.
Both shows will be recorded live and released later as Audible Originals
Audible Theater currently presents the world premiere of Lucy, playing through February 25, and will also present Eric Bogosian's Drinking in America.
