Anchors aweigh! No Singing in the Navy by Milo Cramer opened at Off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons March 29, and the reviews are out.
The musical, an unpacking of Golden Age musicals like On the Town, follows three sailors who have one day to spend in New York City before they are sent to war and (probably) certain death. Starring is Bailey Lee as Sailor 1, Ellen Nikbakht as Sailor 2, and Elliot Sagay as Sailor 3, with Kyle Adam Blair on piano.
The work runs until April 19.
