Manhattan Theatre Club's Where the Mountain Meets the Sea officially opens November 2 at New York City Center - Stage I. The Jeff Augustin play began performances October 11 and is set to run through November 27.

Chris Myers and Billy Eugene Jones star in the new play, which tells the story of a son's journey to connect with his father, a Haitian immigrant who once traveled from Miami to California, and the road trip the son embarks upon years later.

Joshua Kahan Brody directs the New York premiere, which features music by The Bengsons (Hundred Days). The production’s creative team includes scenic designer Tony nominee Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Dominique Fawn Hill, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer Ben Truppin-Brown, and dramaturg Sarah Lunnie. Movement is by Steph Paul and Roxana Khan serves as production stage manager.

Where the Mountain Meets the Sea was presented at the 2020 Humana Festival of New American Plays at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
