28 Off-Broadway Shows Will Participate in 20th Anniversary of 20at20’s $20 Tickets

The three-week promotion makes the special tickets available 20 minutes prior to curtain time.

The 20th anniversary edition of 20at20, the biannual celebration of Off-Broadway theatre presented by the Off Broadway Alliance, will return March 23–April 12.

The promotion will see 28 Off-Broadway productions offering theatregoers the opportunity to purchase $20 tickets beginning 20 minutes prior to curtain for participating Off-Broadway plays and musicals.

Shows currently participating include Monte Cristo: The Musical, starring Sierra Boggess, Adam Jacobs, Norm Lewis, and Karen Ziemba; Bedlam’s Music City: The Musical; the new vampire pop opera Blood/Love at Theater 555; Friends! The Unauthorized Musical Parody and Singfeld! A Musical About Nothing, both at the Theater Center; Red Bull Theater’s Titus Andronicus, starring Patrick Page at the Pershing Square Signature Center; the U.S. premiere of acclaimed New Zealand company EBKM’s Heartbreak Hotel at DR2 Theatre; Dirty Books from Bated Breath Theatre; Perfect Crime and Pied à Terre at The Theater Center; Mint Theater’s production of Zach at Theatre Row; Burnout Paradise from Australia’s Pony Cam at Astor Place Theatre; Drunk Romeo & Juliet at the Ruby Theater; The Play That Goes Wrong, AmazeGazillion Bubble Show, and Rakugo Katsura Sunshine, all at New World Stages; Shake Rattle & Roll Dueling Pianos at Chelsea Table+Stage & Burgerology; The Little Mermaid: The Musical at the Players Theatre; Pinkalicious The Musical at Actors Temple Theatre; the North American premiere of The Interrogation and the world premiere collaboration from Ivy Baldwin Dance + Jeanine Durning, both at Skirball; and Nicole Travolta Is Doing Alright, Lost in Del Valle, The Amazing Sex Life of Rabbits, the U.S. premiere of Body Count, Stories from the Brink, and Heavenly Baba, all at the Soho Playhouse.

“This 20th Anniversary edition of 20at20 is especially meaningful, with more than 25 magical live theatre experiences that showcase exactly what Off-Broadway does best,” said Peter Breger, president of the Off Broadway Alliance, in a statement. “These shows are innovative, intimate, daring, playful, and full of surprises. With 20at20, there truly is something for everyone. When tickets are just $20, why not see one show—or two, three, or even more?”

Off Broadway Alliance is a nonprofit organization composed of theatre professionals dedicated to supporting, promoting, and sustaining Off-Broadway theatre while making live performance more accessible to diverse audiences.
