The American Repertory Theater's Endlings, a new play from writer Celine Song (Amazon's The Wheel of Time, Public Theater’s 2016/17 Emerging Writers Group), is set to begin performances February 26 ahead of a March 1 opening. The production, directed by Sammi Cannold (Ragtime on Ellis Island), is scheduled to run through March 17 at the A.R.T.'s Loeb Drama Center.

Song's play juxtaposes the lives of three Korean “haenyeos"—"sea women" who spend their dying days diving into the ocean to harvest seafood—with that of a Korean-Canadian playwright, “twice an immigrant, who spends her days wrestling with the expectation that she write ‘authentic’ stories about her identity. But what, exactly, is her identity? And how can she write about it without selling her own skin?”
