Somebody To Love, Featuring '70s Rock Hits, Sets West Coast World Premiere
The jukebox musical features songs made famous by Billy Joel, Chicago, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and more.

Somebody to Love: A New Musical will make its world premiere on the West Coast this spring. The '70s rock jukebox musical will play the Karyn Jackson Theater in Ventura, California March 25-April 12. Sean Daniels (The White Chip) is directing.
Written by Robert Sternin and Prudence Frase, (The Nanny), Somebody to Love follows four friends who meet freshman year of college and vow to change the world, and to always be there for each other. The musical will feature hits from artists like Sly and the Family Stone, America, Billy Joel, Bad Company, Roberta Flack,Kiss, Blondie, Grand Funk, Jefferson Airplane, Jethro Tull, Little River Band, Chicago, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Doobie Brothers, and Orleans.
Slated to star are Sophie Alawi (We Live in Cairo), Will Blum (Beetlejuice), Gizel Jimenez (Wicked), Donovan Mendelovitz, F. Michael Haynie (The Heart of Rock and Roll), Alexis Semevolos-Velazquez (The Golden Bride), and Desmond Newson (Motown The Musical). The ensemble includes Jesse Graham, John Gregorio, Molly Kirschenbaum, Sydney Mucha, Presley Christine Nicholson, Soleil Perry, Kayla Christine Quiroz, and Mea Wilkerson.
The production will feature musical supervision by Dillon Kondor (Death Becomes Her), choreography by Wendy Seyb, scenic design by Mike Billings, lighting design by Brian Gale, projection design by Andres Poch, sound design by Danny Fiandaca, costume design by Pamela Shaw, assistant lighting design by Zoe Haynes, assistant stage management by Hannah Raymond, production stage management by Tyler Danhaus, and production management by Chris Beyries. Stephanie Coltrin is the producer and casting director.
