Gotham star Andrew Sellon will star in the title role of Richard III in at Nimbus Arts Center this spring. The Curtain's production of Shakespeare's drama will run at the New Jersey venue March 5-29. An official opening night is set for March 8.
The Curtain's producing artistic director Sean Hagerty is helming the new production. Complete casting and creative team information will be announced shortly.
The play follows Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who is the very embodiment of lethal ambition as he manoeuvres and murders his way to the throne of England, sardonically revelling in his own villainy every step of the way. But once he has reached the top, the only way left to go is down—and in Richard’s growing roster of vengeful enemies, none are more menacing than the ghosts of his past.
