Mean Girls star Taylor Louderman's Write Out Loud, a nonprofit organization that celebrates the work of new musical theatre writers, will release its third Write Out Loud album March 18. With performances from Derek Klena, Ciara Renée, Christy Altomare, Micaela Diamond, and Linedy Genao, the album will feature the five winning singles from the 2021 Write Out Loud contest.
Renée (Frozen) will sing "Falling" by Kat Siciliano, with Altomare (Anastasia) taking "Pity Party" by Chloe Geller, Genao (Dear Evan Hansen) singing "Perfect Portrait" by Taylor Jalen Fagins, Diamond (The Cher Show) singing "Year in Review" by Anna M Johnson, and Klena (Anastasia, Jagged Little Pill) singing "Vow" by Matt Pena.
The album features music direction by Benjamin Rauhala and orchestrations by Macy Schmidt.
The album release will be accompanied by music videos of each track released on Write Out Loud's YouTube Channel. A live concert at Feinstein's/54 Below will be given in celebration of the release April 26, with casting and further details to be announced in the coming days.
