Cat Kid Comic Club features a book and lyrics by Tony nominee Kevin Del Aguila and music by Brad Alexander, and is based on Dav Pilkey’s book series of the same name. The musical played an Off-Broadway run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in summer 2023. The complete Off-Broadway cast reunited to record the album, including L.R. Davidson, Jeremy Fuentes, Michael Thomas Holmes, Jamie LaVerdiere, Owen, Sonia Roman, Dan Rosales, Malynne Smith, and Markia Nicole Smith.
The album features music direction by Matt Castle, vocal arrangements by Brad Alexander and Castle, and orchestrations by Alexander.
