The record, which is available on streaming and digital platforms, will receive a physical release later this spring. Bean has produced the album for Magic Bean Theatricals, with musical direction and orchestrations by Michael Borth, with musical arrangements by Bean, Jon Newton, Steve Parsons, and Borth. Eric Milos and Rob Duffy served as recording engineers for the project, which was recorded in LA at Clear Lake Recording Studios and 64 Sound.

The album features performances by Doug Carpenter (Beautiful), Ryan Castellino (Miss Saigon), Jim Holdridge (Stomp), Daniel Tatar (The Studio), and Jessica Keenan Wynn (Beautiful). The album also features a six-piece band led by Borth, which includes Ryan Whyman, Eric Heinly, Michael Abraham, Dana Decker, and Sean Franz.

The original 2009 production received Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards for Best Production, Best Ensemble, and Best Musical Direction, as well as the LA Weekly Theatre Award for Best Musical of the Year, and Garland Awards for Best Production, Best Ensemble, and Best Musical Direction.

“We always thought the show would go to New York and follow in the The Marvelous Wonderettes’ footsteps,” said Bean, “So we never made a cast album... I always wished I had made a cast album featuring that original cast, and the opportunity finally arose when everyone was available for one magical week in 2025, and so we made it happen."
