Kennedy Caughell, currently starring in the national tour of Hell's Kitchen, will release a single November 21 in celebration of the release of Wicked: For Good. Having previously played Elphaba in the national tour of Wicked, Caughell revisited her roots, recording a medley of "I'm Not That Girl" and "Defying Gravity." Get a first listen below.
Produced by Robbie Rozelle and Brian Spector, the single features Kevin Ramessar on guitar, and is arranged by Ramessar, Caughell, and Rozelle.
The single will precede the release of her debut album, Just the Beginning, which is planned for release next spring.
Caughell has previously performed in Paradise Square, Beautiful, and Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in the leading role of Super You, returning just a month later to star in Mozart: Her Story – The New Musical. In national tours, she has led as Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Elphaba in Wicked, and Elsa in Frozen.
