Audible Inc. has announced its upcoming Audible Original theatre titles which debuts exclusively on Audible March 3. The new slate features Approval JunkieAnd So We WalkedThe FeverDaddiesThe Podcaster, and Bernarda's Daughters.

First performed live at Minetta Lane Theatre, Approval Junkie featuring Faith Salie, And So We Walked featuring DeLanna Studi, and The Fever featuring Lili Taylor will now be available as an audio storytelling experience.

Written and performed by Salie under direction by Amanda Watkins, Approval Junkie follows Salie's journey to self-acceptable through an emotionally turbulent adolescence and adulthood in her one-woman memoir show. In And So We Walkedanother memoir, DeLanna Studi brings the story of a contemporary Cherokee woman embarking on the 900-mile trek along the Trail of Tears with her father to understand her own identity and conflicts of her nation. Corey Madden directed the piece written and performed by Studi. Emmy nominee Lili Taylor stars in Wallace Shaun's The Fever, directed by Scott Elliott, as a privileged American traveler having a crisis of conscience while visiting a war-torn country.

Titles Daddies and The Podcaster were developed out of Audible's Emerging Playwright's Fund which invests in emerging playwrights. The first, by Paul Kruse and directed by Adil Mansoor, follows Joseph, a man having a comically bad year, as he deliberates donating his sperm to help a friend start a family and enters into an online relationship with an internet "daddy;" the two experiences force Joseph to reevaluate his views on the future and face the decisions he has yet to make. The cast of Daddies includes Hale Appleman, Jennifer Kidwell, Tonilyn A. Sideco, Sydney Harcourt, Kenneth Bolden, Mary Poole, Mark Linn-Baker, Barbara Chisholm, Piper Goodeve, Gabe Vaughan, and Karina Kruse.

A meta-audio play about the nature of reality, Christopher Chen wrote The Podcaster which was directed by Lee Sunday Evans. It follows Sylvia Chang, the host of a popular radio series that features pioneering artists, who goes missing. Sylvia's listeners are left to wonder about the mysteries surrounding her disappearance - and if its just another art piece. The audio play will feature performances from Stacey Yen, Corey Stoll, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Erin Markey, Ato Blankson-Wood, Peter Kim, and Michael Braun.

Lastly, Audible and The New Group co-production Bernarda's Daughters by Diane Exavier, and directed by Dominique Rider, will feature Mayaa Boateng, Amara Brady, Malika Samuel, Lorraine Toussaint, Jasmin Walker, and Zenzi Williams as the cast. Inspired by the classic play House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca, it follows the five Abellard sisters as they find their family at a crossroads during a hot summer in Brooklyn following the death of their father.

The online audiobook and podcast service expanded from audiobook content to theatre and has found a home for its live audiences at Minetta Lane Theatre since 2018. Still committed to bringing audio storytelling to audiences everywhere, Audible continues to create audio theatre experiences available to stream.
