Before Corbin Bleu returns to Broadway in Roundabout's revival of Kiss Me, Kate, starring Tony winner Kelli O'Hara and Will Chase, catch the former Disney star in another Cole Porter classic: Anything Goes.
Bleu and Soara-Joye Ross will play Billy Crocker and Reno Sweeney, respectively, in Arena Stage's all-new production of Anything Goes. As previously announced, the Cole Porter musical set on a luxury cruise liner will be directed by Artistic Director Molly Smith and will feature choreography by Parker Esse and musical direction by Paul Sportelli.
Bleu was seen earlier this summer in the St. Louis Muny production of Singin’ in the Rain, and on Broadway in Holiday Inn, In the Heights, and Godspell. Onscreen, he is known for playing Chad Danforth in Disney’s Emmy Award-winning High School Musical franchise.
Ross is currently performing Off-Broadway in the acclaimed Classic Stage Company revival of Carmen Jones. She was last in D.C. with the national tour of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess at The National Theatre, and has performed on Broadway in Les Misérables and Dance of the Vampires. Additional Off-Broadway credits include Disenchanted, Dessa Rose, and Single Black Female.
Performances of Anything Goes are scheduled for November 2–December 23 on Arena Stage's Fichandler Stage. Further casting will be announced at a later date.
