New Jersey's George Street Playhouse has found full casting for their upcoming holiday comedy Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Jersey Christmas Show, set to play the New Brunswick theatre December 2-21. Opening night will be October 5. Gordon Greenberg (The Heart of Rock and Roll) is directing the work, co-written by Greenberg and Steve Rosen.

Kevin Pariseau (The Heart of Rock and Roll) will lead the cast as Ebenezer Scrooge, with the company also including Nehal Joshi (The Phantom of the Opera), Orville Mendoza (Swept Away), Michele Ragusa (Flying Over Sunset), and Cathryn Wake (53% Of). Casting is by Pat McCorkle of McCorkle Casting.

The play sends Scrooge across the pond for a Christmas in Jersey, re-imagining the Charles Dickens classic with a fresh twist to the story we've known for generations. Greenberg and Rosen have devised the work to be customizable to theatres' individual localities, with past presentations including the Old Globe's Ebenezer Scrooge's Big San Diego Christmas Show and Bucks County Playhouse's Ebenezer Scrooge's Big Playhouse Christmas Show.

George Street's production will feature scenic design by Adam Koch (Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story), costume design by Tristan Raines (Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors), lighting design by Rob Denton (The Lehman Trilogy), and original sound design by Ben Fasbender (Driving Miss Daisy) with additional sound design by Artistic Producer Christopher J. Bailey (GSP’s An Old-Fashioned Family Murder).
