We've got a first listen to the upcoming world premiere A Great Big World musical Wonder, set to begin at Harvard's American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) December 9. Opening night is December 17, with the run slated to continue through February 8, 2026 in the company's Loeb Drama Center.

With songs by A Great Big World and a book by Sarah Ruhl, Wonder follows the Pullman family and son Auggie, who has long worn a space helmet to hide his facial difference, as he navigates a world of kindness and cruelty. Taibi Magar will direct the new musical based on on R.J. Palacio’s bestselling novel of the same title, as well as its 2017 film adaption.
The cast will include Garrett McNally and Max Voehl sharing the role of Auggie, Melvin Abston as Mr. Tushman, Donovan Louis Bazemore as Jack Will, Diego Cordova as Justin, Kaylin Hedges as Via, Kylie MiRae Kuioka as Summer, Raymond J. Lee as Mr. Browne, Reese Levine as Julian, Alison Luff as Isabel, Skylar Matthews as Charlotte, Javier Muñoz as Nate, Paravi as Miranda, Nathan Salstone as Space Auggie, Pearl Sun as Ms. Petosa and Mrs. Albans, and Nicholas Trupia as Amos. The ensemble comprises Ryan Behan and Maddy Le.
