Get a first look at the Paper Mill Playhouse production of Frozen starring Mary Kate Morrissey and Samantha Williams. The hit Disney show is running at the New Jersey venue through January 11, 2026. It opened November 30.
Mary Kate Morrissey (Wicked) and Samantha Williams (Pirates! The Penzance Musical) are leading the cast as sisters Elsa and Anna, respectively, with Daniel Yearwood (Hamilton) as Kristoff, Sam Gravitte (Wicked) as Hans, Todd Buonopane (Chicago) as Olaf, Mark Price (Mary Poppins) as Lord Weselton, and Thomas Whitcomb (Miguel Wants to Fight) as Sven. In the youth cast, Anjali Roa is Young Anna and Hazel Vogel is Young Elsa.

The ensemble is comprised of Sherz Aletaha, Jasmine Bassham, Badia Farha, Maggie Gidden, Erin Gonzales, Beau Harmon, Dakota Hoar, Fiona Claire Huber, Albert Jennings, Ryan Lambert, Liesl Landegger, Nathan Lucrezio, Greg Mills, Kevin Ivey Morrison, Evelyn Peterson, Patricia Phillips, Hugo Pizano Orozco, Leah Platt, Ethan Saviet, Graham Stevens, and Matthew Varvar, and understudy Juliette Meris will round out the company. Casting is by The TRC Company.
Adapted from the 2013 animated film, Frozen features a book by screenwriter Jennifer Lee and songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, including both the songs from the original film and new tunes added for the stage incarnation. The musical opened on Broadway in 2018, and closed when Broadway shut down in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. A West End bow opened in 2021, which was later filmed live and released on Disney+.
Paige Price is directing the new staging, which will feature choreography by Shea Sullivan, music direction by Geoffrey Ko, costume design by Timothy Mackabee, lighting design by Ryan J. O'Gara, sound design by Don Hanna, projection design by Mike Tutaj, puppet design by Afsaneh Aayani, scenic coordination and additional design by Kelly James Tighe, costume coordination and additional design by Scott Westervelt, and hair, wig, and makeup design by Kelley Jordan. Patricia L. Grabb will serve as production stage manager.
