Following the soul group The Temptations, as they rise to fame from the streets of Detroit to international stardom, this musical promises plenty of familiar tunes, show-stopping performances, and an inspiring story.

Meet Me in St. Louis will arrive August 6, playing through August 13. Based on the beloved 1944 film starring Judy Garland, the Muny favorite was last produced eight years ago. In the musical, the Smith family is preparing for the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, when a sudden cross-country move threatens to upend everything—including romance for the two eldest daughters.

The season will close out with Something Rotten, running August 17–August 23. With a book by John O'Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick and score by Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick, the satirical musical follows the Bottom brothers, both playwrights trying to best their superstar contemporary William Shakespeare. When a soothsayer predicts the next big thing in theatre will be the new and never-before-seen genre of song-and-dance, the brothers endeavor to write the world's first musical.
