Regional News Casting Revealed For Little Miss Perfect at Olney Theatre Center

Cats: "The Jellicle Ball" co-director Zhailon Levingston is helming the new work by TikTok sensation Joriah Kwamé.

Full casting has been revealed for the world premiere of Little Miss Perfect at Maryland's Olney Theatre Center. The musical features a book, music, and lyrics by viral TikTok personality Joriah Kwamé and will be directed by Zhailon Levingston (Cats: "The Jellicle Ball"). Performances will run February 12-March 15, 2026, with opening night set for February 15.

The new work follows high school senior Noelle, who is expected to achieve nothing less than perfection against all odds. The musical gets its title from the song of the same name, which launched the project on TikTok and itself has garnered millions of views. Kwamé's full score also includes "Ordinary," another viral hit; plus new songs like "Black Girl Magic," "Malaya's Words," and "Legendary." Chloe O. Davis is choreographing. 

The cast will feature Madelynn Ayen as Malaya, Kara-Tameika Watkins as Sylvia, Mia Goodman as Gia Douglass, Jonah Gavi Schwartz as Vaughn Douglass, Donovan Fowler as Eli, Graciela Rey as Leanne, Russell Rinker as  Principal Harry/Mr. Douglas, and Brynn Williams as Howard Admissions Counselor. The ensemble will include Caroline Graham, Matthew Millin, Nikki Mirza, Nico Nazal, Tyrell Stanley, Bryan Stopak, and Montria Walker. Karter, Anna Maria C. Ferrari, and Olivia Clavel-Davis are swings

The creative team will include music supervisor and music director Patrick B. Phillips, orchestrator and electronic music programmer Conor Keelan, scenic designer Lawrence Moten III, lighting designer Abigail Hoke-Brady, costume designer Danielle Preston, sound designer Kevin Alexander, projections designer Zavier Taylor, dramaturg Michael Korie, associate choreographer Peri Ellis, assistant director Aria Velz, assistant lighting designer Sage Green, music assistant Cameron Miya, and assistant scenic designer Danielle DeLaFuente. Ben Walsh serves as stage manager.
