Clarence Coo's On That Day in Amsterdam, which began previews July 23 at Off-Broadway's 59E59 Theaters, officially opens August 11. The Primary Stages production, presented in association with Ted Snowdon as part of Primary Stages' inaugural season at the Off-Broadway theatre, will run through September 4.
Centered on two young men, one a refugee from the Middle East and the other the American child of immigrants, who fall in love, the play follows them as the two spend one romantic day together in Amsterdam after a one-night stand. The dreamers set off across the city to explore art and love as they count down the hours until they must leave the city, and each other.
The opening night cast includes Brandon Mendez Homer (Wolf Play), Ahmad Maksoud (The Visitor), Glenn Morizio (Power Book II: Ghost), Elizabeth Ramos (Three Sisters) and Jonathan Raviv (The Band’s Visit).
