Off-Broadway News Callum Francis to Lead Off-Broadway Run of Kinky Boots; Complete Casting Announced

The Tony- and Olivier-winning musical is headed back to NYC at Off-Broadway's Stage 42.

Tony- and Olivier-winning musical Kinky Boots has announced its Off-Broadway run at Stage 42 will star Callum Francis as Lola. The run will begin performances July 26, and officially open August 25.

Francis reprises the role after having previously originated Lola for the London production at the Adelphi Theatre, later playing the role on Broadway and in Australia. 

Joining Francis in the cast will be Christian Douglas as Charlie Price, Danielle Hope as Lauren, Brianna Stoute as Nicola, Sean Steele as Don, and Marcus Neville as George. Stoute and Stelle will make their Off-Broadway debuts with the show, while Neville reprises his role from the Broadway production.

Rounding out the cast in the ensemble will be Devin Bowles, Bella Coppola, Nick Drake, Ian Gallagher Fitzgerald, Ryan Halsaver, Matthew Michael Janisse, Lindsay Joan, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Marty Lauter, Tommy Martinez, Ryah Nixon, Lucas Pastrana, Liz Pearce, Ricky Shroeder, David J. Socolar, Ebrin R. Stanley, Tarion Strong, Ernest T. Williams, and Maria Wirries.

Featuring 16 original songs by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Jerry MitchellKinky Boots tells the story of two people finding common ground as struggling factory owner Charlie and glamorous entertainer Lola team up, and find friendship along the way in this musical based on true events.

Serving on the creative team will be scenic designer David Rockwell, costume designer Gregg Barnes, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, sound designer Gareth Owen, hair designer Josh Marquette, and makeup designer Darion Matthews. Music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations will be by Stephen Oremus, and casting by Telsey + Company.

D.B. Bonds will be associate director with Rusty Mowery as associate choreographer, and Will Van Dyke as associate music supervisor and music director. Jereme Kyle Lewis will be the production stage manager.
