Vampire pop opera Blood/Love will haunt Off-Broadway a little while longer.

The production, set to officially open March 3, has extended its run at Theater 555 by six weeks, with the limited run now continuing through May 10.

Blood/Love is the newest project by Hunter Bird, one of the creative minds behind the immersive Off-Broadway revival of The Phantom of the Opera, Masquerade. It continues the current Off-Broadway trend of experiential productions. Directed by Bird (Masquerade), Blood/Love is written by Carey Sharpe and Grammy nominee Dru DeCaro. Sharpe also plays Valerie Bloodlove.

Valerie is the world's first vampire. For thousands of years, she ruled the night, but now, she's thirsty for more. Set in a sultry nightclub, the former queen of the underworld searches for a meaning to her existence beyond eternal bloodshed. Her endless night changes when she meets a mortal soul with his own devilish secret.

Sharpe is joined by Christopher M. Ramirez, Brooke Simpson, Zephaniah Wages, Andrew Avila, Malik Bilbrew, Nya, Jonathan Platero, Oksana Platero, Erika Zade, Tre’ Booker, Kailin Brown, Victoria Byrd, Coleman Cummings, Marcquet Hill, Ava Noble, Morgan Reilly, Aliya Rose, Taylor Marie Scott, and Jazz Washington. Casting is by Peter Dunn and Benton Whitley of Whitley Theatrical.

Choreography is by Jonathan Platero and Oksana Platero (Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance), and Natalie Malotke, with music supervision by Matt Hinkley (The Outsiders) and music direction by Ben Covello.

The production features set design by Jason Ardizzone-West (Jesus Christ Superstar Live), costume design by Alex andJuli Abene, lighting design by Japhy Weideman (The Heart of Rock n Roll), sound design by Jessica Paz (Hadestown), projection design by 59 Studio (Stranger Things: The First Shadow), and prop design by Lauren Page Russell (Our Town).
