New York Neo-Futurists artist collective has added Aaron LaRoche, Anna Zheng, Aubrey Lace Taylor, Isa Nicdao, and Salwa Meghjee to its ensemble. Each will get a five-week run in The Infinite Wrench at The Second City New York.
The group is led by Co-Artistic Directors Amelia Bethel and Julia Melfi.
“We are thrilled and grateful that Aaron, Anna, Aubrey, Isa, and Salwa are all joining the New York Neo-Futurists, sharing their artistic talents, vision, and enthusiasm with our company and to the stage,” says Melfi in a statement. “We can’t wait for each of them to hop into The Infinite Wrench throughout this year, and for audiences to witness their wonderful work,” adds Bethel.
The group includes writers, directors, and performers and creates theatre that fuses storytelling, sport, poetry, and living-newspaper. The Infinite Wrench is offered (mostly) weekly, with the group attempting to perform 30 original plays in 60 minutes.
The group's mainstage performances include Steve: A Docu-Musical, The Human Symphony, The Complete and Condensed Stage Directions of Eugene O'Neill: Vol. 1, and Locker #4173b.
