Out of Myself—Songs of Peter Foley, Prospect Theater Company and the recently launched Peter Foley Music Project's one-night-only concert, plays Peter Norton Symphony Space June 5 at 7:30 PM. The concert honors the late composer-lyricist with Leah Hoffman directing and Grammy and Emmy winner Rob Berman serving as music supervisor.

The evening's line-up features Shereen Ahmed, Kate Baldwin, Mikaela Bennett, Max Chernin, Eisa Davis, Melissa Errico, Manoel Felciano, Ashley Pérez-Flanagan, Santino Fontana, Marya Grandy, Jason Gotay, Darron Hayes, Christian Probst, Michael Protacio, David Rowen, Sam Simahk, Graham Stevens, and Collegiate Choral Singers.

The set list includes songs from The Hidden Sky, The Names We Gave Him, Bloom, Songs from an Unmade Bed, and more. In addition to Hoffman and Berman, Kat Chisholm serves as the evening's curator.

Berman said in a statement, “For me, Peter’s music consistently hits the sweet spot of great intelligence without being overly cerebral, combined with deep emotion that avoids being overly sentimental. It is beautiful and challenging. His ear for inventive harmony and rhythm always surprises and his stylistic versatility all in the service of story and character is so impressive.”

The sentiment is echoed by Errico, who shared that the composer-lyricist "wrote music that is bound by good sense—foundation, logic, structure—but nothing is ordinary." Felciano added, "You end up caught off-guard at how your head and your heart are moved in tandem."

Foley's works include The Hidden Sky, The Names We Gave Him, I Capture the Castle, Bloom, Whitechapel, and The Bear.
