Understudies From Little Shop, Ragtime, Chess, More Will Step Into the Spotlight This Month

At This Performance…, the ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway standbys, understudies, and alternates, will continue March 16 at 7 PM at The Green Room 42.
Produced and hosted by casting director Stephen DeAngelis, the evening will feature the talents of Savannah Lee Birdsong (understudy for the role of Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors), Austin Colburn (standby for the role of Dougal in Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York), Nick Gaswirth (understudy for the roles of Tateh, Harry Houdini, Grandfather, Judge, Henry Ford, and more in Ragtime), Meg Guiney (understudy for the roles of Teen Angel, Frenchy, Jan, Putzie, Craterface, and Coach in Don't Vape! The Grease Parody), Weston Chandler Long (understudy for the roles of Seymour, Orin & others, and Derelict in Little Shop of Horrors), Noel McNeal (understudy for Audrey II Manipulation and Voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors), Nicole Vanessa Ortiz (standby for both female principal roles in Going Bachrach: The Songs of an Icon) and Aleksandr Ivan Pevec (understudy for the role of Freddie Trumper in Chess).

Musical director Jon Balcourt will accompany the artists, who will showcase their
versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences.
At This Performance… debuted in October 2003 and has showcased the talents of 1,384 standbys, understudies, and alternates who have covered 6,594 roles in 728 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.
