Tony winner Matt Doyle, who starred in the recent production of The Great Gatsby in South Korea, returned to 54 Below earlier this month with two concerts entitled New Beginning.
The evenings were a tribute to the singer-songwriters who have inspired Doyle, including songs by Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Bob Dylan, Carole King, Sting, Rufus Wainwright, Chris Stapleton, Sara Bareilles, and more.
Watch highlights from New Beginning above (Mitchell's "A Case of You") and below (King's "Beautiful" and Bareilles' "Gravity"). The actor was accompanied by music director and arranger Evan Zavada (Wicked).
Doyle earned the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance as Jamie in the revival of Company.
