Off-Broadway's The New Group has announced its 2022-2023 season, which will feature plays by Will Arbery, Thomas Bradshaw, and Diane Exavier mounted at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Along with the season announcement, information about a new membership model has been released.

Launching the season will be Will Arbery's Evanston Salt Costs Climbing, to be directed by Danya Taymor, in its New York premiere this fall. The play, which will run in the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, addresses climate change and deeply set fears through the story of municipal public servants.

Adapted from one of Chekhov's best known works, Thomas Bradshaw's The Seagull/Woodstock, NY will make its world premiere in winter 2023. Scott Elliott will direct the work, which presents a new take on Chekhov's satire about striving artists, in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre.

Closing out Off-Broadway company's season will be Bernarda's Daughters by debuting playwright Diane Exavier. Dominique Rider will direct the world premiere in spring 2023 in the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre. Inspired by Federico García Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba, the work captures a family facing a turning point at a crossroads. The work was presented as an audio play in March 2022, by The New Group Off Stage and Audible Originals.

For the next season, The New Group is introducing a new membership model that provides members access to discounted tickets, priority sales, and other benefits for a one-time fee.

The New Group Off Stage will also present John Epperson's new film Lypsinka Must Be Destroyed…Again, directed by Chloë Sevigny.
