Irish Repertory Theatre's sixth production of Dylan ThomasA Child's Christmas in Wales opens at the Off-Broadway theatre December 8. Previews began at Irish Repertory Theatre December 1 under the direction of Charlotte Moore (Oliver!Camelot). Moore also penned the musical adaptation which runs through December 31.

Starring in the holiday tale are Ali Ewoldt (The Phantom of the OperaThe King and I), Dan Macke (Dear Evan HansenThe Butcher Boy), Kerry Conte (CamelotThe Butcher Boy), Jay Aubrey Jones (How to Succeed in Business Without Really TryingMeet Me in St. Louis), Kylie Kuioka (Meet Me in St. Louis), and Ashley Robinson (Meet Me in St. Louis). Emma Camp (The Butcher Boy) and Reed Lancaster (Les Misérables) serve as understudies.

Thomas’ story of a snowy Christmas Day in Wales is enhanced with both classic and contemporary Christmas music woven into the show.

The creative team includes costume designer David Toser (The O’Casey Cycle) and lighting designer Michael Gottlieb (The O’Casey Cycle). Pamela Brusoski (The Streets of New York) serves as production stage manager, with Rebecca C. Monroe (The Emperor Jones) as assistant stage manager. John Bell (Into the Woods, Meet Me in St. Louis) is music supervisor, and David Hancock Turner (The Butcher Boy) is music director.

A Child’s Christmas in Wales was first seen at the Off-Broadway theatre in 2002, and was revived by popular demand in 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2018.
