That Physics Show returns August 13 for a limited Off-Broadway engagement at Theatre 555. Performances featuring professional physics demonstrator David Maiullo run through September 4.
The show is designed to showcase the majesty and magic that science can inspire. Maiullo previously won a Drama Desk Award in 2016 for the show. Eric Krebs directs That Physics Show, which is presented by Science Theater Company
"Twenty years ago, the idea of the Science Theater Company sprang into my head as I watched a fresh and fun physics demonstrator at Rutgers University," said Krebs in an earlier statement. "This physics demonstrator was Dave Maiullo, the creator of That Physics Show that has now played over 500 performances Off-Broadway and won the 2016 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience... After a two-year COVID hiatus, we are thrilled to be able to bring back live performances of the Science Theater Company, where, I like to say, we stand at the intersection of education, science, and theatrical entertainment. It is always great fun to watch two and three generations of a family be amazed and entertained by the world of science."
That Physics Show features demonstrations on motion, momentum, vacuum, friction, energy, density, fluid motion, sound waves and vibration, light waves, temperature, and more.
