The original pilot episode of the cult classic television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer is headed Off-Broadway for one night only.

Held on the 29th anniversary of the landmark series March 10, the episode "Welcome to the Hellmouth" will be presented in a staged reading format at 7 PM and 9 PM to raise funds for the New York Immigrant Coalition and The Entertainment Community Fund.

The readings will star Laurie Beckoff as Rupert Giles, Andrea Janine Bernardo as Cordelia Chase, William French III as Luke, Tessa Grace as Principal Flutie, Susanna Guffey as Darla, Sebastian Henson as Thomas, LaRena Iocco as Jesse, Gavi Kovacs as The Master, Christine Pollnow as Willow Rosenberg, Rachel Robins as Buffy Summers, Derek Sherry as Angel, Thomas Vorsteg as Xander Harris, and Gabby Ziccarelli as Joyce Summers, with Playbill's Margaret Hall serving as the narrator.

Staged at Brooklyn's The Rat NYC, each performance will be followed by an airing of the original unaired pilot, offering a unique glimpse at the early evolution of the series.

Welcome to the Hellmouth is produced by Something to Sing About Productions, with direction by LaRena Iocco.

The 7 PM reading sold out in presale, but a waitlist for entry will be handled at the door. For more information on the 9 PM reading, visit TheRatNYC.com.
